Arts Programme
St Edward's School runs an annual Arts Programme, which is specifically designed to bring the school and the community closer together.
This programme has been running for three years now and events involving local schools have included the following:
- Macbeth Workshops run by the Director and members of the St Edward's cast at St Barnabas and SS Philip & James
- A dance and movement workshop run by the head of dance and leading dancers from St Edward's at The Unicorn School
- A self-portrait competition attracting entries from a wide variety of schools
- A dance and music showcase involving dancers from the East Oxford School of Ballet, who performed alongside three young professionals and dancers from St edward's
- Gosford Hill School took part in the Young Writiers' Forum with Max Stafford-Clark
- All Oxfordshire' ssecondary schools were invited to a masterclass on 'Measure for Measure' given by a director and two professional actors from the Creation Theatre Company
- A theatre in education project run by the GCSE Drama Group with children from SS Philip & James on the subject of Tudors
- A Big Band Concert at SS Philip & Jmaes to illustrate a project on American Music between wars
