Our Vision
Aim:
To encourage and support links and activities between maintained and independent schools for the benefit of students and teachers in both sectors and across the wider community.
Objectives:
For children and young people
- To enhance children and young people’s access and enjoyment of studies and activities across a broad intellectual, cultural and creative spectrum.
- To create ways for children and young people from all sectors of school life to experience working together for a common purpose.
For teachers:
- To share good practice, ideas and resources for learning and working collaboratively.
- To provide opportunities for shared professional development within their specialist areas.
For headteachers:
- To provide information about curriculum developments and strategies through events and conferences.
- To provide opportunities for networking and sharing best practice.
For governors, business and the wider community in Oxfordshire:
- To recognise and celebrate positive images of young people and their contribution to society.
- To research, develop, implement, disseminate and evaluate the efforts of OISSP in providing information on the collaborative achievements of local schools.
